History

Founded by the Redmond family, East Gate Montessori School opened in September 2013. Brooke and John Redmond have devoted their careers to providing children with a nurturing, high-quality Montessori education. Many of our staff members joined us from our award-winning sister school in Reston, Virginia, Community Montessori School.

EGMS is a proud member of the American Montessori Society and is accredited by the Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE) and the Middle States Association (MSA).

At EGMS, we maintain low student-to-teacher ratios to ensure that every child receives the individual attention, support, and care they deserve. This commitment has helped us preserve the close-knit, family-oriented environment that our community values and strives to maintain.
